A disabled veteran single mom has applauded her six-year-old daughter’s quick thinking in an emergency, after the little girl called 911 upon finding her mom passed out on the floor.
Mom Dejaa was getting ready to take her six-year-old daughter, Jordan, to school on March 14 but was feeling unwell, suffering side effects from a medication she had taken the night before.
After starting up the car to get it warmed up, Dejaa headed back inside and intended to lay down for a few minutes before leaving — but didn’t make it to her bedroom, instead passing out before she got to the stairs.
Fortunately, Jordan heard her fall and hit her head and quickly sprang into action, calling 911 and successfully guiding them to their house to help her mother — all of which was captured on the house’s security cameras.

Security footage from inside the home shows her leg while she was on the floor, unconscious
‘My 6 year old had to call 911 while I was unconscious,’ Dejaa wrote in a viral TikTok video that has racked up 5.4 million views.
The first footage shown is taken inside from the house, from a camera that appears to be mounted near the ceiling.
Dejaa zooms in to show part of her leg, flat on the floor where she’d passed out.
The footage then cuts to the outdoor Ring doorbell camera, which captures Jordan running outside, phone in hand, to the mailbox, where she was able to confirm their address for a 911 operator.
Jordan had already called her grandmother, and moments later, she arrived, running into the house.
A firetruck turned up as well, and EMTs were soon making their way inside with a stretcher.

Cameras also captured the moment Dejaa’s mother, who lives nearby, showed up – around the same time as a firetruck

EMTs were soon captured arriving and entering the house to help Dejaa, who is a disabled veteran
Dejaa, who is a disabled veteran, a single mom, and a full-time student, said she receives treatment from the VA for injuries she sustained during her military service.
The night before she passed out, she had taken a medication that left her dehydrated and dropped her blood pressure, so she woke up feeling awful that morning.
After starting the car, she tried to go upstairs to rest.
‘I was just trying to shake off some of the dizziness before getting behind the wheel of a car to take my daughter to school,’ she said.
‘As you can see in the video, I did not make it, and I ended up passing out,’ she added.
Dejaa hit her head ‘really hard’ upon falling, and while her four-year-old daughter was still asleep, Jordan rushed to help.

‘I was truly blessed in this situation to not only still have my daughter home, but thank God I had not made it behind the wheel of a car,’ she said
‘She sprang into action,’ Dejaa said. ‘She followed through with the emergency plan that we had developed before. She went ahead and contacted my mother first and then she contacted EMS.
‘I was truly blessed in this situation to not only still have my daughter home, but thank God I had not made it behind the wheel of a car. And on top of that, my mom does live close, which is why I’ve always instructed her to contact my mother first,’ she added.
Commenters have shared how impressed they are with how Jordan performed under pressure, and Dejaa went on to share how she has prepared both of her daughters to know what to do in emergencies.
She said she started preparing them as soon as they were old enough to play on her phone, updating her contacts with photos so the girls could see who was calling.
Dejaa also taught them to practice situational awareness, and made sure they knew important emergency information like their names, her name, and where they live.
She also said that sometimes in the car, she would pause in their neighborhood and and have daughters give her directions to their house.
