In her “I Fought The Law” photo series, Olivia Locher is having some fun with America’s weirdest laws. Each picture in the series shows her breaking some odd law from various states. These laws are either really old and just never got removed, or they’re just plain strange.Take, for instance, the law in California that says you can’t ride a bike in a swimming pool. Or how about Kansas, where you’re not allowed to serve wine in teacups? And in Oregon, there’s a law that bans working out while driving \u2013 did that really happen so often they needed a law?\n

Then there are the laws that make you wonder about the past. In Alabama, it’s illegal to carry an ice-cream cone in your back pocket. Turns out, this was a sneaky way horse thieves used to steal horses. They’d tempt the horses with the ice cream, leading them away without actually touching them.
