Sadly, sometimes it happens that we fail to do what we promised to and even if that doesn\u2019t feel like a big deal to us, it can break someone\u2019s heart and make them lose faith in humanity.\n</p><div class='\"entry-content\"'>\n<p>The following story is an example that we should never give a promise unless we are 100% sure we can fulfill it.\n</p><p>One day, a rich man spotted an elderly homeless man sitting in the cold. He felt sorry so he decided to approach him.\n</p><div class='\"wp-block-image\"'>\n<figure class='\"aligncenter' size-full><img loading='\"lazy\"' decoding='\"async\"' class='\"wp-image-58417' ezlazyloaded td-animation-stack-type0-2 src="%5C%22https:%5C/%5C/boreddaddy.com%5C/wp-content%5C/uploads%5C/2022%5C/12%5C/gyufuft.jpg.jpg?ezimgfmt=rs:463x412%5C/rscb1%5C/ng:webp%5C/ngcb1%5C%22" alt='\"\"' width='\"463\"' height='\"412\"' data-ezsrc='\"https:\/\/boreddaddy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/gyufuft.jpg.jpg?ezimgfmt=rs:463x412\/rscb1\/ng:webp\/ngcb1\"'>\n\n<p>\u201cI see you don\u2019t have a winter coat, you\u2019re not cold?\u201d The old man starred at him for some time and then replied: \u201cI don\u2019t, but I\u2019m used to it.\u201d The rich man, surprised and saddened by the answer he received, said to the homeless man, \u201cWait for me! I\u2019m going into my house now and I\u2019m going to bring you a thick coat to keep you warm at night.\u201d\n</p><p>The elderly man was over the moon. He couldn\u2019t believe someone found the time to do a good deed for him.\n</p><p>Unfortunately, once he went home, the rich man forgot about the homeless. He only remembered the promise he gave the following morning and quickly rushed outside to give the coat to the poor man. Sadly, it was too late. The elderly man wasn\u2019t there, instead, there was a note which read, \u201cWhen I didn\u2019t have thick clothes, I had the strength to fight the cold weather, because I was used to it, but when you promised to help me, I attached myself to your promise and that took my strength to resist.\u201d\n</p><div class='\"wp-block-image\"'>\n<figure class='\"aligncenter' size-full><img loading='\"lazy\"' decoding='\"async\"' class='\"wp-image-58418' ezlazyloaded td-animation-stack-type0-2 src="%5C%22https:%5C/%5C/boreddaddy.com%5C/wp-content%5C/uploads%5C/2022%5C/12%5C/hngcnhg.jpg.jpg?ezimgfmt=rs:855x629%5C/rscb1%5C/ng:webp%5C/ngcb1%5C%22" alt='\"\"' width='\"1112\"' height='\"819\"' data-ezsrc='\"https:\/\/boreddaddy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/hngcnhg.jpg.jpg?ezimgfmt=rs:855x629\/rscb1\/ng:webp\/ngcb1\"'>\n\n<p>The man had died, and that crushed the rich man\u2019s world.\n</p><p>This story is yet another reminder that our promises should be sacred and we should never broke them because they can mean the world to those in need.\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"</p><p>Whether or not we keep the promises we give to others speak of the kind of people we are.
